Comments without authentication
-
Hi, I deactivate the option that force user to be authenticated when leaving a comment.
Yet the website is wiating for an authentication.
Is it a bug, is it normal?
RegardsThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I confess that I am not clear about what you are asking. Are you asking about setting up anonymous commenting? If you are then please see here https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/the-process-of-commenting?replies=3#post-2734782

Hi,
Thanks for your answer.
I’m actually talking about those options :
Discussion Settings > Other comment settings
_Comment author must fill out name and e-mail
_Users must be registered and logged in to commentI deactivate the option in bold so that user are not forced to be registered (But I leave the option that force them to fill name and email)
I’m expecting to not be asked for authentication while leaving a comment, but it’s not the case, login still to be asked.
Is it normal, did I miss something?regards

Is it normal, did I miss something? It isn’t normal, it shouldn’t ask for you to login. I just ran two tests on your site and I left two comments while not logged in to WordPress.com. One from an email that has no WordPress.com account and one from an email that has a WordPress.com account. I wasn’t asked to login. It is working as it should.
