Common Heading on “matrioska” theme
-
I had been working with the LodeStar theme, but it was giving me some problems. I’ve switched to the Matrioska theme to try to sort those issues out. But one problem that I am seeing is that on the “Matrioska” theme, I don’t get a common header. By that, I mean that on the LodeStar theme it would give me a logo on the top of every page. But it doesn’t appear to give me that ability on the “Matrioska” theme. Is that correct? Or am I just not seeing how to do it in the Matrioska theme, but the capability is there. I’ve created a “header” in Matrioska, but it doesn’t show up on my pages. This snip below is the header that I created but doesn’t show up.

That sounds frustrating, especially after switching to a new theme.
The new theme you have, Matrioska, is a block theme. They work differently than classic themes like Lodestar. Block themes are primarily based on blocks as elements and templates for layout on specific pages.
There are different things you can do to have that logo on all your pages as part of your header. You can go to the dashboard, then to the site editor, and select the ‘All Archives’ templates. From there, select the site title, and in the list view on the right, you will see the site title block. On the toolbar, you have the option to switch to a site logo. Once you add the site logo and save it, this will be applied across all pages, as the ‘All Archives’ template layout will be used for all pages. You can refer to this guide on adding a logo with the site editor: Add a logo to your website
I also recommend checking this site editor guide to familiarize yourself with it: Use the Site Editor
Here are other guides that you might find helpful:
Edit the header
Switch from a Classic Theme to a Block Theme
Let me know if that helps.
