communicating with blog authors

    hello, i’m not sure this is possible with a free (name).wordpress.com blog. but i’ll ask anyway. i have a private workgroup on a blog and multiple authors. is it possible for me as admin to send an email/announcement to all authors at one time without posting an entry on the blog?

    also, when someone posts something new on the blog, do all authors get notified there is a new post? is this possible to activate from admin’s end?
