Company Re-Brand

  Afternoon,

  We are needing our site re-branded. We recently partnered with another company and we have switched names. We were Pinnacle Mortgage Group and as of 2/1/2015 we are Eagle Home Mortgage. We are needing the name, the links, the @ all changed to: Eagle Home Mortgage or Eaglehm.

  We are needing all of this to become active no later than 2/1/2015

  Our blog URL needs to read eaglehm.wordpress.com

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Check out this document for changing your blog’s address: http://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/ It’s fairly simple, you just do it from your My Blogs screen.

  Sorry the abvoe advice will not work – the desired URL (eaglehm.wordpress.com ) already exists – a URL can’t be changed to an existing URL

  You need to Export from the existing URL & Import to the new URL – then buy a site redirect to send traffic to the new URL

  There’s a classic case of not looking before I leaped :) Yes, the name has to actually be unused to switch them.

  To be clear: you are needing to do this yourself or hire someone to do it. WordPress.com does not provide this service for you.
