Compatibility Issues

  Many Internet Explorer users have told me they are having compatibility issues (like VERY slow loading, format/graphics being off, words jumbled, etc.) while viewing my blog (emptytheorphanage.org). I have purchased from WordPress the premium upgrade and also the theme “Organization.” Any advice here?

  Hi there – What version of IE are they using? The site loads and displays just fine for me in IE9. Please also make sure they have compatibility mode in IE turned off.

  Hi – thanks for the answer. They are using IE9 also, but the site automatically defaults to compatibility mode every time with no way to turn it off.

  Hi there – That’s what’s causing the issue then. The compatibility mode can cause some display problems. If they are unable to turn it off, please recommend that they use Firefox or Chrome.
