Hi, I wanted to bring attention to a blog that is featured on Freshly Pressed this morning. The link to the blog post in question is http://jansimson.com/2012/08/18/dogs-are-better-than-cats/
I clicked on the link on the Freshly Pressed page, expecting to read a humorous piece about cats and dogs. Instead, what I encountered was a sick piece of writing promoting cruelty towards animals, specifically cats. The author wrote about the fun of grabbing a cat by the tail and spinning it in the air. Lest you think this is funny, do a Google search for spin a cat by the tail. What will come up is a horrific account of a man in Britain doing just that to a poor cat, and being promptly arrested for cruelty. This sort of thing should sicken anyone who has any concern for animals at all. I can’t believe that the post made the Freshly Pressed page.

The post in question has been removed. We originally found it to be tongue-in-cheek, but upon further reflection and a re-read, agree that it was inappropriate as a Freshly Pressed feature.
