Complaint about an Advertisement

    I just read about your ad policy, and that’s fine as far as it goes, and I am considering paying for guaranteeing an ad-free site.

    However, if you are going to allow a few ads in certain cases, they CANNOT be soft porn!! Please report this to your ad company! Our wordpress blog is sponsored by an academic program, and the ad that popped up when I came to the blog posting through our feed to our Facebook page was a YouTube video advertising Unzip X, which definitely qualified as soft porn! For students to be forced to watch that on a blog put up by an academic program really makes our program look bad!!

    To support the service (and keep free features free), we sometimes run advertisements, and the agreement for this has been in our terms of service since 2006.

    We try hard to only run them in limited places. If you would like to completely eliminate ads from appearing on your blog, we offer the No-Ads Upgrade: http://en.support.wordpress.com/no-ads/

    However, that doesn’t sound like an ad we want to run. Would you please send a screenshot and description to support@wordpress.com so we can report it to our ad provider?
