Hi.
I’m trying to make a complaint about the deletion of Zemanta from WordPress.com. I’ve just spent about 15 minutes trying to find a Creative Commons image for a post.
I’ve visited http://wordpress.com/complaints/ and I can’t find anything to do with my complaint there, so what should I do?

I have been looking at the Zemanta browser add-on but I still think that it was helpful to have Zemanta integrated into WP.com.
With the Zemanta browser add-on do you still have to download the image and then upload it to a post or page?

No. The add-on is in every way superior to the integration with the dashboard. You can even tell it a list of blogs to use as sources so when it suggests links, it only suggests links to them.

Like raincoaster said above Zemanta can be easily re-installed via the browser extension.

If you use Windows Live Writer to write your blog then you can install Zemanta as a plugin. Be aware though that Zemanta reports the plugin is out of date but you can’t update it because the new version does not work with WLW. However the old one does, I’ve been using it for years.

Unfortunately we don’t support Windows Live Writer anymore, since Microsoft themselves said they are going to drop all support and development on this software in the future.
