Complete back up (files/database)
-
Hi there,
I have just directed my DNS to another site. Is it possible for WordPress to provide my site back up so that it can be restored on my domain at the new location?
Thanks for the assistance,
Dr. K.

This is the wordpress.COM support forum. We don’t have database access here. We create XML export files for backups https://en.support.wordpress.com/export/#backups

You’re welcome and best wishes.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
As you are referring to a wordpress.ORG software install on paid hosting, if you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right-hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.

WordPress.org support docs are at https://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page

to move your site – you should export from WordPress.COM site and import to your new site – there is no database backup that you can get

Thanks for clarifying! This is a wordpress.com blog – http://www.healthylifehack.com. I will try to import on the new site then.
