Complete deletion
-
Hi. This is too difficult for me. I don’t understand the lingo. I tried to save something and everything disappeared. Now I can’t find what I’d tried to create.
Can someone tell me (like I am 5 years old) how to delete everything so that no one will ever know I came and I tried and I failed?
Thanks.
D. :)

Your blog appears to be empty but maybe you are referring to another one.
If you do not have a lot of content you can easily delete all blog content by yourself rather than waiting for Staff to do it for you.

Hi timethief. Thanks for your response. Unfortunately, I can’t even delete everything using your links. That’s how much beyond me all of this is.
So…if staff will delete my very existence on the site, I’d be very grateful.
Thanks.

Many thanks. They’ll make everything disappear – like I was never here, won’t they? Please.
Best,
D.

Are you asking for your username account to be deleted?
Username accounts are not deleted at WordPress.com http://en.support.wordpress.com/deleting-accounts/ but please note the following:
1. You can go to My Account->Edit Profile and remove all data except the account name and an email address. Create a throwaway email address and change the account email to that throwaway address. This only leaves the username behind.
2. To unsubscribe from email sent to you from WordPress.com, go here and click on “Block all subscription emails from WordPress.com”:
http://wordpress.com/#!/following/subsettings/3. To ensure the account is locked up tightly, visit this site, generate a password of 15-20 characters, and change the account password to it:
http://www.thebitmill.com/tools/password.html4. While you cannot completely delete your Gravatar profile, you can remove all of your profile information easily through the “Edit My Profile” page here:
http://en.gravatar.com/profiles/edit/?noclose#about-youYou can also hide your Gravatar profile from external access. Visit your profile page (click your name in the top navigation of the website), then click the “Hide My Profile” link in the bottom, right-hand corner.

Well maybe if I could even find My Account>Edit Profile, I might be able to do what needs to be done! But since I can’t get to the first step, it’s a fair assumption that there’s a good reason why I’m asking a staff person to do this.
Is there no staff who is willing to delete this? Anybody?

This is a peer support forum. Here Volunteers and Staff work cooperatively to deliver support. Here Volunteers answer most questions and when we cannot provide the required support we flag threads for Staff attention. That has been done. What’s required is your patience as it’s the weekend.

Okay, there’s a new development. I was generously given help to get my efforts deleted, and then up and running. So now I don’t need anything else deleted. Is there a way to let staff know that my original request can be cancelled?
