Complete mess regarding my account

I am in a complete muddle and don’t know how to get help. I am a subscriber. When I tried to log in tonight I found my old password did not work – the system of entry has been changed but I received no notification. I updated my email address and chose a new password, but I did not complete their validation process in time so permission was denied. Finally I got into the site but it is acting as if I am setting up a new account and I can find no access to my current one. The changes in email, password etc I made have obviously confused the system. Access to a Happiness Engineer is not available to me. I cannot find any contact point. Like most companies now, personal contact is almost impossible to find. Can anyone suggest a way to be in touch with WordPress or can anyone help me find a way in to my original account. Help??
