Complete Owner Transfer

Mark Peterson is the original owner of our site. He says he initiated transfer of ownership on his end, and that I need to contact support to complete the transfer. Please let me know if there’s anything further we need to do on our end.

I believe we were able to get the site transferred properly, and this topic can be considered solved.

Hi there!
I can confirm that the site ownership was transferred to another WordPress.com account. Your account still owns the subscriptions (the Personal plan and the domain connections). Would you like to keep them or would you prefer to transfer those as well? We can transfer them to the new owner if you’d like.

The old owner is no longer involved with our organization, so everything needs to be transferred to myself.

I am still in contact with this user, yes.
Perfect. To clarify, staff cannot transfer a site to your account (without the approval of the current owner) so I can confirm that no transfer has taken place.
The good news is that the current owner of the site can transfer (without the help of staff) by following the steps here: https://wordpress.com/support/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/
They can also log into their account and reply to this post (so they are included in our current conversation) and then we would be able to transfer the site on their behalf.

I do see the option to “Transfer Blog” on my blog management page. I assume that means I am the owner now? Are there any other steps to this complex process?

Everything looks correct from our end. You are the owner of the site and the associated upgrades.
