Complete tech idiot needs help!
-
I am trying to install ProPhoto 6 on my WordPress site. It tells me ‘Your PHP installation appears to be missing the MySQL extension which is required by WordPress.’ and it looks like my site may have disappeared even. How can I fix this? And yes, I am running a pathetically old version of WordPress because every time I update things, I end up with a mess, so I just stick my head in the sand.
Thank you!

Aloha Christine, Could you please verify the website you are receiving this error on. It sounds like you may be working with a self-hosted WordPress.org site instead of the WordPress.com-hosted version supported here.
Learn more about the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/If that is the case, I would recommend searching on the WordPress.org support forums for similar issues. If you cannot find anything that works, you can start your own thread. The forums are completely separate from each other, so you will need to register an account there if you haven’t done so already.

Well…I guess I am not sure! I always go in through my blog site through the admin link. Someone else initially set up the WordPress part for me before. It said I had the wrong password just now on .org, but when I sign in at .com as I did earlier, it is a totally separate account with no blog posts. So I have no idea! Told you I was a tech idiot!
