Completely don't understand how to design my blog page

  insert my own header image

  Hello: I want to create a blog using WordPress, but cannot figure out AT ALL how to design the homepage. All I want to do is have a basic page with a header image that I’ve created in Photoshop that includes my Blog’s name, and then the remainder of the page will be my daily blog posts. Why is this so difficult? I can’t figure this out for the life of me. Please help. Thanks.

  Hi there!

  You can upload your own header image under Appearance -> Header. For the Twenty Eleven theme, here are the specific header image requirements:

  You can select an image to be shown at the top of your site by uploading from your computer or choosing from your media library. After selecting an image you will be able to crop it.
  Images should be at least 1000 pixels wide. Suggested width is 1000 pixels. Suggested height is 288 pixels.

  If your image meets those exact dimensions, you can skip cropping the photo.

  If you use a different theme, the dimensions of the custom header might change. Here’s the full list of supported themes and their header image dimensions:
