Compresses images on mobile site

  Hello! I am building a website that is a portfolio of my art. When viewed on desktop or laptop everything looks fine, but on the mobile version all of the images get squished (they are too long vertically and too short horizontally). Does anyone know how to fix this? For most of my pages I didn’t use a theme but just the ‘Blank’ template. The site is chloelevinart.wordpress.com if it helps to look at what is going on.
