Concerning New ‘Block’ Editor (Insert Link Bug)

    Dear WordPress, I am afraid there are few issues with your recent introduction of ‘Block Editor’ mode as compared to former ‘Classic Editor’ mode.

    1. The ‘Insert Link’ is very faulty! Firstly, the search function sometimes doesn’t work and require ‘saving, closing, and reopening’ draft to get it work. Then, the ‘Link Option’ does not work – no matter how many times I try to insert a link. To get this work, I am forced to use the ‘Pop-up’ insert-link panel… but ‘Open New Tab’ will no longer be available due to the faulty ‘Link Option’. Finally, the ‘Pop-up’ does not go away even after finish inserting link. It floats over the editor and covering its button-panel, and I have to scroll up and down just to use a button as the ‘Pop-up’ insert-link was blocking.

    2. The ‘Copy-paste’ function from existing post – Would be great if this function is back.

    Hi capnbd,

    It would be great if you could send the following:

    1. The browser(s) you are having trouble with and their version numbers.
    2. Your operating system version (can be found on supportdetails.com).
    3. Upload a screenshot of the issue to your Media Library.

    Would you also be able to send the exact steps you took, so we can try and replicate the behaviour on our end?

    The ‘Copy-paste’ function from existing post – Would be great if this function is back.

    Sorry, not sure I follow here :) Are you referring to the Paste as Text button on the editor?
