Coneccting domine

  I use to have a site on wix whih a domine and now i create a blog on wordpress and try transfer the old domine http://www.leandrabenjamin.com(wix) to replace the name blog http://www.leandrabenjamin.wordpress.com. I pay $13,00 and do the 2 first step, but in the 3r step dont now how to proced.

  I have a number of wix domine, and they say: ” you need to choose one new Domain Host to transfer your domain, using the transfer code you received at Wix.”

  I dont now when a have to put this code number.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Wix wants you to transfer your domain to another registrar before oyu can use it with WordPress.com. While we register new domains here at WordPress.com, we’re not able to accept incoming transfers of existing domain names. I would suggest GoDaddy as a legitimate domain registrar.

  Ok, so if i buy the host of domine on GoDaddy, i can still whit the same domine and they will work on wordpress?

  You said : we’re not able to accept incoming transfers of existing domain names? How ? I paid $13 in wordpress to do a transfer of one existing domine..

  The $13 domain mapping upgrade allows you to use a domain that you have registered elsewhere with a WordPress.com site. It is different than transferring a domain from one registrar to another, which is what Wix is wanting you to do. I’m not sure why Wix wants you to do that. If they would just change your domain’s nameservers to point to WordPress.com, you wouldn’t need to. But it would appear that they do not offer the ability to change nameservers.

  Does that make sense? Please let me know if it does not and I will to try and explain further.

  But, if i will host on a different place than wix, it will work?
  Like hosting on GoDaddy?

  Or maybe exist another possibillity, to make my blog work whit the http://www.leandrabenjamin.com.

  If you transfer your domain registration to another registrar (like godaddy), then yes you will be able to map leandrabenjamin.com to your WordPress.com site.
