Config problems

  Hi,
  I am a complete newbee and installed a WordPress theme (which I then messed up lol) Decided to uninstall everything then re-install which was fine apart from the host/password/database names I used to set up WordPress. When I re-installed and tried to amend the Config.php file nothing seems to work! How can I set this up it’s driving me mad! Can I reset all this info back to Localhost/root ect or can I find the info though WordPress somewhere.
