Configuring "My Sites"
-
I maintain two wordpress sites, calgough.wordpress.com and atlantareader.wordpress.com – but only the first of these displays in the “My Sites” drop-down. Therefore I can no longer access the editing or new post screens (or anything else) for my second site! How can I add my second blog to “My Sites” so that I can access it to add a new post or edit old ones? Isn’t this something WordPress needs to do from your end? I can’t seem to figure out how to do this myself. Help!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there!
It looks like the site atlantareader.wordpress.com is owned by a different account. Do you have two WordPress.com accounts by chance?
If you do, I can transfer one of your two sites to the other account so they’re both under the same user. Or you can add your second account as a user on both sites. This will make them both appear under My Sites.

Let me know if you have any more questions!

I wasn’t aware that I had two accounts. So, yes, please transfer the atlantareader.wordpress.com account to the calgough.wordpress.com account IF that would result in each of them being displayed under My Sites. If that would not happen if you did the transfer, could you tell me very specifically how to “add my second account as a user on both sites,” as I didn’t see any way to do that. (I suspect I’ll get an error message saying that “this account – or this name – is already in use” or some such message…so if you can handle the problem on your end, I would be most grateful! And thank you for replying.

I can definitely do that if the request comes from the owner of atlantareader.wordpress.com. For security reasons, we need the request to come from the owner so we can be 100% sure that we’re doing what the site owner wants.
Transferring the site will make them both appear under My Sites. Sorry for the confusion. :)

Great. So how do I go about demonstrating that I am also the owner of atlantareader.wordpress.com – would your checking the About page of that blog, where it lists my name and my email address (the same email address I use for everything, (email visible only to moderators and staff)) be sufficient? If not, what else could I provide you? …And thanks for hanging in there with me on this request – I really need to update the Atlanta Booklover’s Blog (that’s the atlantareader.wordpress.com’s name), so would like to get them both into my My Sites dropdown, so I can do that. Thanks!!

Hi there!
Sorry for the delay. I’ll send you an email about this to help you regain access to that second account.
