Configuring Technorati pings

  This page on Technorati.com says I should be able to go into Options/Writing and add http://rpc.technorati.com/rpc/ping to an Update Services window, to have Technorati ping to my site. But there is no such Update Services window on my Options/Writing page.

  How can I get this to work?

  All wordpress.com blogs have pingo-matic embedded and there’s nothing you need to do. Pingomatic directly pings the other services like pinggoat and techorati for you. Some people also chose to manually ping technorati everyday themselves.

  The technorati page you are linking is giving instructions for self hosted and web hosted wordpress.org blogs. WordPress.org operates on a different code and blogging platform than wordpress.com.
