confirmation email

  hi- i misspelled my email address when i set up my account so didn’t receive a confirmation email. i then made a new account with the correct email address but cannot login. can i please merge kristinmengel and kristinmengel1 under (email visible only to moderators and staff)?

  Hi there,

  You could actually have just updated the incorrect email to the correct one, which would have sent you a new confirmation email.

  To fix this now, you’ll first need to free up your address. To do that, you need to log into the kristinmengel1 account, and change that email address to something else. You can create a temporary gmail account, change the email and confirm, and then delete the gmail account if you’re completely sure you don’t want that username any more.

  If you can’t log in as kristinmengel1, you can reset the password via this link:

  https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword

  Once you’ve changed that account’s email to something else, log back in as kristinmengel and change this account’s email to the correct one.
