  i did not receive a confirmation email through gravatar. i am using wordpress through bluehost. please help. my email is (email visible only to moderators and staff)

  If you’re using Bluehost then you’re using WordPress.ORG.

  Or you can try getting support from Bluehost.

  Regarding the Gravatar; as far as I recall they do not send a confirmation email upon using their services.
