Confirmation email

I’m setting up a wordpress site, abbeynyman.com and am not receiving the confirmation email when I tried to create a WP account to set it up with jetpack. I tried to set it up under two different email addresses and did check the junk mail and spam folders. One email is a yahoo account and the other is her university email.

We provide support only for blogs hosted by WordPress.COM. As that site is not hosted here by WordPress.COM, our support docs do not relate to it, and we cannot provide support for it. You are posting to the wrong support forum.

WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.

Jetpack is a plugin for WordPress.ORG software installs to provide parity with blogs hosted by wordpress.COM. Some JetPack solutions are here http://jetpack.me/support/
Others are in the JetPack support forum at WordPress.org

My issue is I’m trying to set up a wordpress account as well. In doing so, I am not able to because I cannot receive the confirmation email. Using the jetpack plug in is not the issue.

Check in your email spam filter and under your “social” tab in your Gmail account please, if you use it. https://en.support.wordpress.com/email-notifications/gmail-issues/

This website is for a client who uses yahoo. We already checked the spam filter.

Hi there,

Can you please let me know the username or email address for the account that’s not receiving the confirmation email? (You can put the email address in your reply here and the forum software will hide it from everyone except staff.)

That way I can look up the details on that account and help out with that confirmation step. :)

abbeynyman is the username (email visible only to moderators and staff) is the email.

Hi there,

There isn’t a WordPress.com account with that username or email address. Does this person have a WordPress.com account? (That’s separate from any accounts created on the self-hosted site that has Jetpack installed.)
