Confirmation emails contain no link to confirm!

I am trying to change my email address (from my default, to another one that is not yet associated with any wordpress account). The wordpress confirmation emails don’t contain an actual link to click on. Just “We recently received a request to change your email address. If this request was not made by you, please respond to this email immediately.” Please let me know how I can fix this. Thanks!

Nothing is being sent to the new address OR the old one now (checked social/promotions/spam tabs too). Please help! :-)

I don’t mean a confirmation email…I mean I’m getting no messages at all that should be sent to my email (blog comments, likes, contact form…nothing).

I see. Could you please make sure that the Block Emails options at https://wordpress.com/settings/notifications/ isn’t checked. Also check your spam/junk folder or inbox tabs (https://support.google.com/mail/answer/3055016?hl=en) to see if the e-mail notifications ended up there.

“Block emails” is NOT checked and nothing is showing up in spam/trash/social/promotions folders in either the old or new account.

Any word from developers? I haven’t been able to receive any comments or blog contacts for a month now! Can we please try to tweak *anything* that might enable me to receive notifications? Thanks!

Hi! I’m really sorry for the frustration. We don’t have a resolution in place just yet. I checked in again just to see if there have been any developments or any steps we could implement to get this working again. I’ll get back with you as soon as I know more!

Can someone please undo the last change/override of my email settings that was made via tech support? First, the comments/contacts were not being forwarded correctly…now, nothing at all has gone through for over a month. My contact form no longer works (nor do any communications). I’ve been dealing with this since late MARCH! I’ve worked very hard for years to foster a community on my blog, and often get commissioned paid projects through it. This has cost me *four months* of communication (and potential income). I feel I should at least be credited for my next domain name renewal. I’m sorry to be harsh but I’ve been a loyal paying supporter of wordpress for over 6 years and this is really not fair to me or my readers. Please let me know if there’s ANY setting we can change so I start getting notifications again. Thank you!

I completely understand your frustration regarding the email notifications.
Regarding receiving notifications, can you try changing the email address on your account to another email address? You can update your email address in your Account Settings, or in your Personal Settings under Users → Personal Settings in your dashboard.
As for the contact form, it looks like some of that form may have been removed from your page editor here:

I tried to change my email address in the account settings months ago. It says (in red, below the entry area) the email change to (email visible only to moderators and staff) is “pending” but there are no more steps I can take to finalize it. It’s been “pending” since late March. Supposedly, tech support changed it for me to get around this…but the change did not happen and no emails go through to the old OR new address.
Contact form looks okay to me, and I was able to use it as a test.

It looks like the email address on your account is currently set to the shewalkssoftly address you mention. Can you confirm this when you go to your settings page here?

I cannot. It just says there is a pending change, but I receive no confirmation link, and no option exists in the account settings to confirm.
