Confirmation emails for Gravatar and WordPress cannot reach my mail box

I cannot activate my main email to use it with Gravatar, or to register WP.com account afresh.

Every time I send confirmation email for Gravatar (or use it as a registration mail for WP), my Gmail inbox and spam folders stay empty.

But! My email has several dots in it, and as you probably know Gmail creates synonyms that allow for addresses like (email visible only to moderators and staff) and (email visible only to moderators and staff) to lead to the same inbox.

If I remove some of the dots, confirmation messages get through perfectly. If I use my full address, I see no message. This is critical for me, as that exact email (in its full form) is being used for my commits on Github.

Parser ate my example emails, being:
    foo.bar AT gmail.com
    foobar AT gmail.com

Also, note: every confirmation letter I send to redacted addresses reaches me, so it is not a problem with spam filter or network.

I’ve tried sending dozens of confirmations, and problem reproduces every time.

Tried appending my email with ‘.’ (dot), and confirmation also gets through. But not for the main address.

So it is like this now:
    foo.bar AT example.com – no confirmation mail
    foo.bar AT example.com. – get confirmation correctly

I’ll tag this thread for a Staff follow-up. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

Staff work through all forum threads tagged for their attention and through all email support tickets in order of datestamps and timestamps – first posted first served, as would be expected.

How long it takes to clear the threads and support tickets depends on how many Happiness Engineers are working on them at any given point in time. It also depends on how complex the issues in each thread and ticket are are.

Don’t bump your thread because it’s not in your best interest to post to it after it has been tagged for Staff help. Don’t create a new thread or send an email for support either.

When bloggers keep bumping any thread thinking they are going to get service from Staff more quickly they aren’t thinking straight because that moves the timestamps forward and it takes longer to get a response. The same is true if you email more than once the date moves forward and it takes longer to get help.
