Confirmation of Feasibility for Webite Development
-
I am currently in the process of evaluating WordPress for an upcoming website project. Before proceeding with the design, I would like to seek clarification on certain requirements to ensure they align with WordPress capabilities.
Our goal is to create dynamic pages based on content management system through the WordPress CMS. Each item in the CMS should generate a unique page. Additionally, we aim to add SEO to each item in dynamic pages, including the customization of meta tags and schema tags for individual pages.
Can we embed JavaScript into each item in a dynamic pages. Before making a final decision to move forward with WordPress for this project, we would appreciate your guidance on the following:
1. Dynamic Page Creation:
– Can WordPress support the dynamic generation of pages based on content from the WordPress CMS?
– Are there recommended plugins or built-in features for achieving dynamic page creation?
2. SEO Optimization:
– What tools or features does WordPress offer for SEO optimization?
– Is it possible to customize meta tags and schema tags for individual pages, especially those generated dynamically?
3. Embedded JavaScript:
– Are there any restrictions or considerations when embedding JavaScript code into WordPress pages?
– Can we easily insert JavaScript for meta tags and schema tags?
We believe that obtaining clarity on these aspects will assist us in making an informed decision about using WordPress for our project. If the outlined requirements are feasible, we are eager to proceed with the design phase of our website.

Hey there!
Thank you for reaching out and I’m happy to help advise for your needs.
Certainly! WordPress.com is an excellent choice for your upcoming website project, and I’m confident that it aligns well with your requirements. Let’s address each of your concerns:
1. Dynamic Page Creation:
– Can WordPress support the dynamic generation of pages based on content from the WordPress CMS?
Yes. Pages and posts are as standard with WordPress.com, and it’s possible to duplicate pages to make sure that consistency across the board is ensured.
Is there a design out there you like the look of?
– Are there recommended plugins or built-in features for achieving dynamic page creation?
It depends on the theme in use, if you’re able to point us to design/website as above, we can look to make more specific suggestions for you!
2. SEO Optimization:
– What tools or features does WordPress offer for SEO optimization?
Behind the scenes, WordPress.com uses features that are available with the Jetpack plugin: https://en.support.wordpress.com/jetpack/
One of the main features of that is a CDN, whereby we serve websites to visitors based on location, making sure everything is quick as can be. We also optimise images and static JS/CSS files.
On the WordPress.com Business plan, it’s possible to install SEO plugins like Yoast, to make things even more targeted and easy to understand.
– Are there recommended plugins or built-in features for achieving dynamic page creation?
This guide here offers some useful information about how to make the most out of the SEO features available: https://en.support.wordpress.com/seo/
3. Embedded JavaScript:
– Are there any restrictions or considerations when embedding JavaScript code into WordPress pages?
Generally not. Some advice I would offer would be to use this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/code-snippets/ to insert any code. This would ensure any installed themes aren’t damaged, and code isn’t lost at any point.
– Can we easily insert JavaScript for meta tags and schema tags?
You can, although Yoast will have this already built in and you wouldn’t need to use any code. https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-seo/
Based on your questions, it looks like you would need the WordPress.com Business plan:
As you’re just getting started, would you be willing to tell me what you are planning for your site? Perhaps I can offer some advice and some insights in how best to go about achieving those website goals.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
