Conflict between pulldown menus and slideshows

I’m using the Mystique theme that has custom pulldown menus. They worked great until I decided to put a slideshow on my home page. All of a sudden I could only see half the pulldown (or dropdown) menus. After looking at it closely, the menu is still there but doesn’t display the options that pass in front of the slideshow.
Has anyone seen this behavior before and know a solution?

This is your home page http://creationexpo.wordpress.com/ and I do not see a sideshow on it. Please provide a link to the exact post or page this slideshow appears on.

I had removed it because it was interfering with navigation. I put it back (on the home page) so you can see what I mean. The menu called “creation Model” for example has about eight options and you can only see the first three. Is this a problem with this one theme or is it pervasive in WordPress? Thanks for looking.

The same issue is occurring on your site in IE8, Firefox, and Chrome (on Windows 7). But it works fine in IE7 on Windows XP. That’s crazy, because I have a very similar issue that only occurs in IE7 but no where else.
I wish I could help, but to me it looks like an issue with the z-index of the theme.

@haven928, I didn’t see it at first as the only time a hint of the full menu appears is between images. I’ll tag this thread to have it moved to the themes forum and hopefully one of the theme team will respond and look into this. A similar issue is happening on another theme as well. If staff haven’t responded in a day, contact them directly at http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ .

@thesacredpath, Thanks for your help. Am I right in understanding that the issue is theme-specific? Can I resolve it by switching to another theme? Or would the theme team prefer that I stick with it a while to get it resolved for everybody? I’m not in an urgent hurry.
