conflicting email and account ownership

Sometime ago I set up an acount under an email i no longer have access to:
naomiclare.wordpress.com. I still access this page and update it by logging in under the username. This is my active account.

Later, I set up an account for Fandangoblogs.wordpress.com using my current email. I had set this page up as a test for a company I no longer work for, but by mistake I used my personal, current, email. This is my 2nd account, which i consider inactive.

Now, I want to change my email for the active naomiclare.wordpress.com account to my current email. But, when I try to change it in my settings I cannot because it is in use for the inactive fandangoblogs.wordpress.com account.

How can I cancel the inactive fandangoblogs account, which i never use, and free up the associated email, so that I can then switch to tie this email to my active naomiclare.wordpress.com blog account?

It looks like deleting the 2nd inactive site will not work, because the account will still exist, and it is the account that uses the email. How should I proceed? Any advice would be appreciated and I am having trouble finding a resolution to this particular problem via the wordpress support q&a.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Transfer ownership of the fandagoblogs site to another email address.
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account
Then you should be able to change the email address for naomiclare to the email address you want to use.
