Confused

Okay, I’ve never been as confused and I’ve been working with computers for years. I got a domain, then I chose another company to host. The domains were not pointed right, evidently, so I changed this, but not without great anguish, and I hope this is right. Then I believe I got the wordpress software installed, and linked to jet pack. But now I don’t no where I am, or if what I have done is even correct. When I log onto WordPress.com how to I find my dashboard? When I log onto my dashboard through my emails I get a dashboard and it tells me that I have the ‘reponsive theme’ which is what I want!!, but when I search for my site through Internet explorer I find my site, but it only has the default theme page, not the response theme! Bottom line, I don’t know where I am in all this. Where do I find my site when I log into WordPress.com??
