CONFUSED!?

Ugh, I’m trying to work on my two most important sites which are hosted using Managed WordPress on GoDaddy. The problem is that initially created the sites using the scratch/sandbox domain they provided, then switched to my primary domain. But now, each of those sites shows old scratch domain (e.g. http://3e1.1db.myftpupload.com/) rather than the actual live domain (e.g. spincycle.org), even though I have connected JetPack to the live domain name. So, when I go into the Dashboard in spincycle.org, it shows JetPack as being activated, but it is not listed in ‘My Sites’.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hey there, try double checking your Site URL under general settings for each of those, then try disconnecting and reconnecting Jetpack. Let us know if you need more help!

Thanks for the response! The Site URLs were correct. Nevertheless, I deactivated and uninstalled Jetpack. For each site where I reinstalled Jetpack, I got the error “Having trouble connecting. Try again.” When I tried again, the connection worked and the site URLs for my sites (viewed on WordPress.com – https://wordpress.com/stats/insights) had been updated. Success. Thanks again.

  • @jjsowers Ah, you didn’t need to deactivate / uninstall it. Just a disconnect would do for next time. I’m glad you’ve got it working though!

Since you uninstalled and reinstalled, you may still see the old sites in your My Sites area. If you need to remove anything there, here’s how:
