  Having put an image in place along with some text and published them both either the text is covered up or just not there…only the image. What did I do wrong?

  Okay, I had a look at your site and it looks like you are using custom CSS that overrides the default settings.

  Can you open the WordPress.com Customizer https://wordpress.com/customize and see if you have “CSS” section the left?

  If yes, do you see any existing code there? Try to remove the lines that read “color: #fff”, “line-height: 1.4em” and “font-size: 4em” from the CSS selectors there.

  That should do the trick.

  I can’t see any reference to CSS but I can see reference to color and font size but there is no facility to remove them. Problem continues…
