Confused
-
For starters, I didn’t create this account ID (to the left). Am I even in the right account? Secondly, and most importantly, isn’t WordPress free? All I want to do is post nine 300-500 word blogs for my friends to read. Why do I have to pay an annual fee for that (I have another WordPress account that I didn’t have to pay for). Third, I already have a domain with GoDaddy. Your options are confusing. It sounds like I have to surrender my domain to WordPress and pay you money, or keep it with GoDaddy and pay them and you money. ‘This deal is getting worse all the time.’ Please reply to Keith at (email visible only to moderators and staff). Thanks.

Hey @keithrowe3920,
I think you are confused with WordPress.com and WordPress.org.
WordPress.com includes every required thing, like Hosting, domain and WordPress installation with technical support for paid accounts :).For a test, you can try WordPress.com free plan.
In WordPress.org you need to find a WebHost, you may need to pay for a domain for additional and you need to set up everything on your own hosting.Regarding your domain, you can transfer your domain to WordPress.com, this will help you to cut cost or you can map your domain to WordPress.com with your paid plan.
You can compare both of them quickly, check the following documentThanks !!!!
