CONFUSED about Stats. How can We Track Email Subscribers?

When I look at my stats, it says I have 95 Followers. Each time I get a new follower, it shows up in my notifications.
Once I added the Email Subscribtions Widget to my blog, I noticed that it read a different number. It says I have 151 email subscribers.
How come we don’t get notifications when someone decides to subscribe via email?
Also is that 151 the total number of email subscribers,?
Or is it the number of regular subscribers PLUS email Subscribers which would make the true number 56 email subs?The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Don’t know why you are not receiving email notifications of email followers. I notice that I’ve been receiving them lately. However, there’s a condition involved which might explain why you haven’t been receiving the expected notices. From the Email Notifications support page:
If a new follower is logged out of WordPress.com, an email notification will not be sent to the blog admin email address.
The oddest thing about this is that it suggests that you or I may receive email notices of new non-WordPress user email subscribers, but not from WordPress.com user subscribers who happen to be logged out when they subscribe.
As far as I know there is only one setting for email notifications of new followers. At Settings > Discussion: check “Email me whenever someone follows my blog.” But you’ve evidently already done that.
Regarding the numbers:
On the classic stats page (bottom left) you’ll see the number of two groups of followers to your website: blog followers and comment followers. There are links below the numbers to pages which list the followers in each group. The blog followers are again divided into two groups: WordPress.com followers, and Email only followers.
