confused about tags
-
I am new. A am used to myspace.com and its ability to add multiple tags to my page. I want to know if I can do the same for my blog. It appears to me that each blog can only have 1 tag each. Is this correct? Wouldn’t severly limit my blog from web searches?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You can add as many tags as you wish, but it is best to stay under 12 per post since more than that and you risk getting excluded from the wordpress global tags pages, which for many are a source of quite a number of visitors, and since the tags pages have such high page rank, you actually end up sharing in that page rank.

I’m having problems with tags for my blog too: http://adamhphoto.com
I tagged many different thing’s for it at one point, and then switched up the blog a little afterwards, deleted the tags because they wouldn’t have made much sense after this change, so i made new tags. point is, people can still search my old tags and find results to pages for my blog that don’t even exist anymore. old tags, old posts, that are no longer there. search engines like google still give results. why? and how do i stop this from happening? it might mislead some people.

Search engines, at least in many instances have very long memories. In the case of Yahoo, it is nearly eternal. They never throw anything away.
Google will eventually drop the links that come up with 404 errors, but it could conceivably be 3-6 months.
