Confused about Tags

  I’m confused about tags. I read the documentation, but I’m still not understanding. I added tags to my post without a problem.

  Are they ‘attached’ (for lack of a better word) to all the posts? It appears that way, but I’m not sure.

  When I go to the wordpress global tags page and click on one of the words that also happens to be one of the tags I added I thought my blog would appear, but it doesn’t. How do I get that to happen?

  Are the tags supposed to appear on the blog page itself? If so, how do I get that to happen?

  @mollyblossom,

  The tags that you see on top/bottom (depends on the theme) of a post in a wordpress.com blog links to tags at wordpress.com.

  If you want tags to link to posts in your blog, you have to add the Tag Cloud Widget
  in a sidebar/footer. The tags that appear there will link to your blog posts.
