Confused about xml for my blogs-websites: www or not?
-
Hello
I have a couple of questions about indexations and xml maps.
1) I have 2 blogs-websites (.com): http://itranslationspanish.com, and http://itranslationsenglish.com. There is an image that links them between themselves, they are not exact translations of each other, as have differente text, pages, etc.
I have verified with google not http://itranslationspanish.com, but http://www.itranslationsenglish.com, and idem with the English site.
Was that a mistake?
When trying to creat an xml map ( I know they have one already, but wanted to check to see if i could send it more easily that way), it was not possible to create them for the www sites, only for the addresses without www. So how do I solve this? Do I go to wordpress and try to verify overwriting in the code box for the sites without www’ so I can send their xml map and Will that create any error ?
I donñt think i can verify 4 websites, each of these 2 with www and wothout, is that possible, how?
If I go to Google search and enter http://www.itranslationsenglish.com, my site does not appear. How can I solve all these issues?
Many thanks in advanceThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
I’d verify each different site with Google, both http://itranslationspanish.com/ and http://itranslationsenglish.com/. Google will see those sites as different so it would be good to verify them so you have the most information regarding your site.
On WordPress.com, all of your sites will use the “naked” domain (without www). Anyone can still visit your site using the www address, but the URL will change to the non-www version. Google and other search engines see the www and the non-www sites as two separate sites, so we set all domains to not use the www to keep things straightforward and simple.
When verifying your site, you should use the non-www version.
I am seeing your site in Google: https://cloudup.com/cubxDA1ub4T
Please let me know if you have any questions or need anything else!

hello,
Thanks for replying. I am still confused about what to do now. So:
You say, “When verifying your site, you should use the non-www version. “
I already verified with google both sites with www. Can I cancel this now?
Because if I dont cancel, I can´t find an option on my dashboard to verify them nowwithout www, it looks like that has already been done, as it was in google tools where I chose to write them with www. What I mean is that wordpress does not seem to give me the option to verify them without www once I already verified them. What do iIexactly do? Delete the code that appears in the boxes and do the precess again? Will that create any conflict with the sites? -
Also, when I go to the link in your post, where you say you can see my website, what it exactly says, is ” do you mean http://www.translationsenglish.com”, and on google only my site wwithout www appears, below. So people would go to the one they suggest, I imagine, as mine does not appear there.

As far as the “do you mean…” that is Google suggesting to visitors an alternative spelling in case the itranslationenglish.com was a misspelling. That would only display if folks are literally only searching for your domain name. If they’re searching for “English translation service” or something like that, a suggestion like that would not display.
Yes, I would delete the entries for the www versions from Google Webmaster Tools and start the process again, replacing the code in the Tools menu at https://itranslationspanish.wordpress.com/wp-admin/tools.php
Thanks!
