Confused and annoyed
-
My blog is still not showing up in topics. I wrote another thread about this several days ago which I can no longer find and which was never resolved or replied to.
It is possible that it has to do with mature content. I do sometimes include mature language and images in my posts but I take the responsibility of flagging that myself. Most of my posts however do not come under that category.
I would like this situation resolved and would also like to know what constitutes mature or offensive material at wordpress. What happens if some posts are adult orientated while others are not?
Also is there an easy and convenient way to keep track of queries brought up here in the support forums?
I feel I have had no feedback at all and that my earlier question was ignored and/or forgotten. -
Staff have a backlog of support tickets and you first thread is flagged for their attention. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/my-blog-not-showing-up-in-topics?replies=3#post-985551
Please see here > Mature Content
A blog that is marked as Mature is excluded from public areas of the WordPress.com service. This means:
It is not eligible to be featured in Freshly Pressed on the front page of WordPress.com
It will not appear in global tag listings
It will not appear in Top Blogs listings, recent posts, or related posts listings on other blogs
The blog’s users cannot use that URL as a link in their WordPress.com Forums profileFrom the TOS http://en.wordpress.com/tos/
Please don’t:
•Post explicit sexual materials that can be considered pornographic, such as explicit images or video of sexual acts or close-up images of genitalia;
•Post links or banner ads to adult-oriented affiliate networks, such as pornography site signups;
•Post links, text, or images promoting or advertising escort services;
•Post images of extreme violence or gore without associated context or commentary;
•Post images of child pornography;
•Post content that promotes pedophilia, such as blogs with galleries of images of children where the images, content surrounding the images, or the intent of the blog is sexually suggestive. -
Also is there an easy and convenient way to keep track of queries brought up here in the support forums?
Yes. You can subscribe to the RSS feed by clicking the orange RSS icon in the sidebar of any forum thread.

Thanks.
According to the above information there has never been anything in my blog that should be considered mature or offensive. Thus I am still confused why it frequently doesn’t show up in topics.
Perhaps it will be cleared up in the back-log. -
Also is there an easy and convenient way to keep track of queries brought up here in the support forums?
Yes, just click on your username on the top right when you log in here. You can also see what you’ve posted by clicking on the word under your username. Click on the word under anyone else’s name and you’ll see what they have posted as well.
Also, you can subscribe to thread, up near top of the threads it says, “Subscribe to Topic.”
But as timethief noted, because your blog is marked as mature, you won’t have your posts included in the Reader.
Also the link to your site is only visible to moderators in the forums because your site is mature. It won’t be publicly displayed.

oops. slower typist than timethief.
If you think that your site is not, or should not be mature I’ll re place the modlook tag here for staff to take a look.

There are other reasons for non-appreance on the Topics pages. See > http://en.support.wordpress.com/topics/#missing-posts

If a blog is marked as mature, then it won’t appear in topics. As I said:
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/confused-and-annoyed?replies=6#post-987587and from timethief’s link above:

The blog’s users cannot use that URL as a link in their WordPress.com Forums profileA mature blog contains mature content, as determined by Staff: we volunteers have no authority to determine such issues. But note that mature content is not the same as a violation of the Terms of Service.
As there is nothing more we volunteers can do, I’ll close this thread. Be patient for staff to get to this topic.
