Confused and concerned

Hi there, I just purchased this theme– first time ever purchasing a theme too, and I thought it would make things easier but alas, it has not.
I love the masonry format but now when someone sees my post there’s no way for them to know there’s more to read. If I set it to show only a paragraph or two then that’s literally all they see with no indication there is more to the post. I can’t figure out how to change it if it even can be changed.
Also, though the header indicates a specific size for an image I have done it in several configurations and none of them ever come up in a way that works or shows the image as I want it. I’m extremely adept in creating imagery in Photoshop to specific sizes so wondering why this is happening like this.
I’m not a code person and just want a good-looking blog that does what I need. I purchased this one so I could have some more widget options. So far this one isn’t doing nearly as well as the free one I used to use. Please help.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi @cisforcharr – You can use The More Tag to shorten the post text displayed on your home page.

https://cisforcharr.wordpress.com/ is using The Baskerville Theme. Instructions on how to set that theme up are found here:
    https://wordpress.com/themes/baskerville/

At the bottom of the page, under specs, it says, “Custom Header dimensions are fluid, displayed at varying widths and heights, depending on the screen size.”

You can request a refund for the theme if you are not 100% satisfied. Here are instructions on how to do that: https://en.support.wordpress.com/refunds/

Please remember that it will take 7+ days for a refund to be posted back into your account once requested.
