Confused! New Blog

  I’m new to this, I set up my account, I can get to the screen where I edit my profile, but I don’t see how to manage my site! Like themes, etc. I’m sorry for such an dumb question since you all are such pros! I looked at the FAQ and didn’t see the answer, any help is appreciated.

  You are obviously able to log-in to the forums so please try scrolling up the page to the very top and then click on “Home”. If you are successful at this then you should see a page that looks like this http://wordpress.com/
  Are you able to do this?
  If you do see that page then at the top right hand corner you will see “Forums” please click on it a come back here and we’ll work this through one step at a time.

  On top of what TT said, there’s a few resources that you may be interested in. First up is this link which will give you some resources to help the new .commer.

  I see that you have the account set up, you and you can manage your profile. I’m guessing this means you can get to your dashboard? If you can, have a look at the links across the top. There’s one that says “presentation”. Theme management is there. Without the .com CSS upgrade ($15) the only things you can do with the theme is change it, change the header and muck around with the sidebar widgets – all from the presentation tab in your dashboard.

  I hope this helps a little, and as Gary says, any more questions please ask. Try searching the forum first though as the question has probably already been answered in one form or another.

  Thanks everyone, the problem I’m having is that I can’t get to my dashboard, everything takes me back to the home page. I searched dashboard on the forum, seems some people were having a similar problem a while back, but I didn’t really see any resolution.

  That is very strange. Can you contact WordPress.com itself via feedback to let them know?

  And it goes without saying that you’ve force-cleared your browser? Just to check?
