Confused on the prices
-
I am confused. Will my order be $18.00 per year or $35.00 per year. I clicked on the option for $18.00 per year. Then it took me to a screen that says, “pay $3.50 per month or pay $35.00 per year”. Honestly, I don’t have a problem paying either. However, I am confused on what the actual price is that I will be paying. If my father questions me about it, what am I supposed to tell him? “Daddy, I created a website for the podcast and the price is $3.50 and $35.00. Don’t worry, it’s a great deal!”

Hi @redblondefox,
A .com domain costs $18/year. You’ll need that and hosting.
Most hosting plans have yearly and monthly billing options, where you can pay every month or once per year to save a little.
The yearly hosting plan on our service typically includes a free domain registration for the first year ($18 value). We also include security, support, maintenance, etc.
I hope that helps! Also, be sure to read this:
https://get.wp.comIt explains the difference between our managed hosting and the free WordPress code that you can use with other hosts. It kinda sounds like you might be registering your domain here and hosting elsewhere, which may not be the best choice — again, we include the domain with our managed hosting for the first year, and some other hosts have similar options with their unmanaged hosting. Let us know if you have questions on that!
