Confused over using the Business Plan or the eCommerce Plan

    Hi, I’ve actually already set up a e-commerce site using Shopify but have been stuck with the payments, as I can only use the payment gateway that is listed with them.
    I need to incorporate a payment gateway that isn’t listed either with Shopify or WordPress/Woocommerce.
    I see that the WordPress business plan is also feasible but the functions I need is actually all there in the ecommerce/Woocommerce plan. The only problem with the ecommerce plan is it has only listed payment gateway which does not work in my country. I need to incorporate a custom payment gateway for my store which let’s the customer make payments in the local currency. If the ecommerce plan has some options to customize the payment it would be perfect.
    Our developers have already built a store and installed the payment gateway using the WordPress basic plan. They also have developed a plugin for the payment gateway. Hope someone can help! Cheers

    Hi,

    The short answer is that WooCommerce can be fully used with the WordPress.com Business plan. The eCommerce plan just just sort of a streamlined version where things are pre-structured for your store.

    If you have specific requirements as far as gateways etc, the Business plan is the way to go.
