Confusing Editor Change
-
I signed on to create / write a post and found that my editor in wordpress.com had radically changed to a format that I am unfamiliar with when writing and creating my articles.
I used to be able to access the visual editor (with all the features that make writing and creating streamlined, but when I attempted to access the visual editor, the visual editor did not appear.
Can anyone provide a way (link) to revert to the visual editor so that I can write and create in a streamlined process?
Thank you.
Craig

Hi Craig,
You cannot deactivate the new Beep Beep Boop editor but you do not have to use it. For locating the ways and means of accessing the legacy or classic pages for creating posts, editing posts, and viewing stats see here > Navigating the Classic WordPress.COM interface http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2015/04/05/navigating-the-classic-wordpress-com-interface/
On the dashboard of your own blog at
Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New
To create posts in the classic editor for you that link is http://secondchancetolive.org/wp-admin/post-new.phpIf you have cookies enabled on your browser your preference will be saved unless or until your clear your cookies, and it will take you to the classic editor automatically every time you create a new post via the drop-down menu in the black admin bar or edit a post via the edit button on the blog itself.

The Classic Editor will continue to exist in wp-admin. We know some users prefer to use this editor, so we want you to have access to it, instead of phasing it out with the new version of the Dashboard. However, a link to the Classic Editor will not return to the New Editor. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/when-editing-an-old-post-how-do-i-switch-to-the-classic-editor?replies=5Features that won’t be included in the new editor

Hey TimeThief,
I have been taking the extra steps to get out of the new editor ever since you guys introduced it, and I really wish there was way to make the Dashboard the default on “My Sites”, rather than WP-Admin, which again seems an unnecessary step.Somewhat off-topic, but related, and I have no other way to access help on this, it seems…
Speaking of issues with the WP.com changes of late, I cannot put anything on the forum, though I have tried three times. Twice, the subject line appeared in my profile, but there is nothing on the forum, except for the lines…
