Confusing email notification

  Why did I get an email threatening that my domain was being cancelled if I did not renew, but when I went to renew, it said it was automatically renewing… which is how I set it up to begin with. Stressful and unnecessary. I don’t recall that happening before, nor with my other WordPress domain name. This is the message I got from Word Press:

  This email is to notify you that the following domain name(s) is set to expire on the date(s) listed:

  VKPEDITING.COM – Aug. 08, 2014

  To renew, cancel or otherwise manage your domain(s) and for further assistance, please go to the Store -> My Upgrades section of your WordPress.com dashboard.

  So am I on auto-renew or not?
