I am at wits end with a blogger that has deliberately linked her blog to our business name! We are Salad Girl inc. an organic salad dressing company located in Minnesota. My Husband and I finally realized our life long dream of starting this co. with only capital coming from the hard paid equity of our small home. We spent about 4 weeks designing by hand the website and presence-and paid 1500.00 to get it up and going-now everytime someone is looking for our product, they stumble upon magpies stolen goods”The Salad Girl”.We spent years and $ trademarking “Salad Girl”-not to mention all the sweat equity, just to have her steal our name, and then to get paid for adding advertising on her blog too! Her content is strange and obsessive and has created a hassel with our clients! How can we stop this? Help!we are http://www.saladgirldressings.com, (email visible only to moderators and staff)- people all over Mn. refer to me as the salad girl…

That’s not a wordpress.com blog, I’m afraid. You need to ask in the forums.

This is actually a legal issue that neither wordpress.COM, nor wordpress.ORG can address I’m afraid.

    therealsaladgirl

You should not get your knickers in a twist over the name issue unless you are willing or able to buy up all the possible similar domain names for yourself. That is the way http names go. If you had infinite money, you could buy up all similar addresses, but your best course is to make sure you build your site so that Google and other searches find you.

    It’s definitely not a wp.com nor a wp.org issue.
