Confusion about podcast and current WP sites

  Hi WP. I am hoping you can help clear up my confusion about .com vs .org for a new podcast site:
  1. I have a handful of free WP sites and used one of them to build a new site for a new podcast I am working on – http://www.theenchantmepodcast.wordpress.com
  2. I purchased the domain http://www.theenchantmepodcast.com from GoDaddy and have it redirected to the WP url.
  3. I set up the *free* site and took time to build it knowing that I would have to upgrade to upgrade my plan at some point to add audio and use the Blubrry plugin – I am planning to use Blubrry to host my files.
  4. My big issue/question is: should I have/will I have to move everything to a new .org site in order to launch and submit to iTunes, etc. OR when I upgrade the free plan will that take care of my .com or .org issue?
  5. If so, how do I move the http://www.theenchantmepodcast.com domain to .org?
  6. I obviously don’t want to have to redo the site in .org but will if I have to.

  I’ve bene using WP for a long time for various blogs, but this is the first time I am using a paid WP package and am confused about the right way to build this site.

  Hi there, if you purchased one of the WordPressdotcom upgrade plans https://wordpress.com/pricing/ in order to map your domain to your WordPressdotcom site, you also can upload audio files directly to your site and podcast from there: https://en.support.wordpress.com/audio/podcasting/

  What it looks like at the moment however is that you are forwarding your domain to your theenchantmepodcast.wordpress.com website which is not the same as domain mapping https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

  Adding 3rd party plugins to your WordPressdotcom site can only be done under the Business plan upgrade. https://en.support.wordpress.com/business-plan/
