Confusion around options. Please help!
-
I recently purchased a plan to build a website on wordpress.com. There was no information indicating the differences between .com and .org. It wasn’t until I actually had the time to go through a tutorial to build the site that I realized that I need .org to make the site I’m looking for. I still intend to be a customer of WordPress, but set up on the wrong version. I have cancelled the plan now but it is possible to get a refund for the time not used (happy to pay the month or so I’ve been on the plan if needed), so I can use that money to set up a site with a plan on wordpress.org instead? Any help here is much appreciated. Thank you.

Hey –
Happy Friday! It looks like we are outside the refund window as of the time this post was made. I’m curious to know more about this project, and specifically why you think .org is needed. Since you’ve already bought a hosting plan here, I’d like to save you from purchasing another (less impressive) option elsewhere. We can help you get the project launched and moving forward :)
To be clear, you will need to purchase hosting for this site when running a .org installation.
Looking forward to learning more.
