CONFUSION BETWEEN OLD AND NEW LOG-INS
-
When I logged in today I was taken to a page I have not used since 2012 I stead of the Melbourne Poets Union website I only set up this month. My user name is Hamish Danks Brown but instead I get my alter ego user name of Danksta Downunder from 8 years ago which I had forgotten about and can’t access my website. Message me via (email visible only to moderators and staff) ASAP please as I need to update the Melbourne Poets Union website. Thank you.

Hi,
My user name is Hamish Danks Brown but instead I get my alter ego user name of Danksta Downunder from 8 years ago which I had forgotten about and can’t access my website.
Usernames consist of letters only and there are no spaces allowed. The username hamishdanksbrown doesn’t exist on WordPress.com. However, you may include spaces in the Display Name (Nickname), so it’s entirely possible to have a display name such as “Hamish Danks Brown.”
However, the display name needn’t look anything like the username that it is associated with.
When I logged in today I was taken to a page I have not used since 2012 I stead of the Melbourne Poets Union website I only set up this month.
Is the Melbourne Poets Union site in the 12-year-old dankstadownunder account or another account? If it’s in the dankstadownunder account then you may change the primary site for the account at Account Settings > Primary site.
If the new site is in a different account, then you’ll need to log into that account to access the site. If you want to access a different account in the same browser, then you’ll have to log out of the present account first. It may be necessary to clear the cache and cookies as well.
