Confusion regarding redirection.

  Hi,
  I’ve been running a blog over at blogger for almost two years now and we even purchased a domain (meaning: http://www.yaddayadda.com) at godaddy and we had redirected the blog from within blogger to redirect the blog automatically to our new address.
  I personally migrated my blog to wordpress a while ago and have been an avid blogger and loved it since then.

  Now we are looking to move our site to wordpress as I feel it is a better option overall. BUT, I’m having trouble understanding how to make that redirecting work here – I don’t want to purchase a domain name from wordpress as I already have exactly the one I want and have a huge reader-base with it.

  Please advise!!

  That may be workable – just so there’s no confusion though, is there any non-paid redirect for wordpress.com sites or do I have to make the annual payment to be able to use any address other than xyz.worpress.com for my site?

  Also, will there be any clash between godaddy and wordpress in any way? Because I want to continue to run the site through my wordpress dashboard.

  Lastly, does wordpress prefer Paypal as a payment method or is there any other system?

  Yes, the domain mapping is a paid upgrade per blog per year.

  as for godaddy:

  Paypal as payment will be workable.
