Confusion with domain name

  I am new to blogging. I have registered a free domain with wordpress it is ‘mywebsitename.wordpress.com’ . I am looking for a free web hosting. However, some web hosts are generating their on domain names while registering itself (eg: myusername.freehosting.com) In this case I am not able to update that in wordpress site address .It says invalid domain. Also ,I am not able to enter wordpress domain in any other hosting site where it asks. It says invalid. Give me a solution pls.

  Personally, I think that purchasing a domain or Premium upgrade on WordPress.com is the simplest option!
