Congratulations WordPress, WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!

    OK, so the saga stars on Friday, the 5th of November when I decide to register a .com.br domain. Seems pretty simple, right? So I put all my information, my credit card info and after everything goes through, an error page appear letting me know there’s been a mistake and I could not start the Address 2 section with a number so the domain could not be registered. Only problem: they IMMEDIATELY charged me after I pressed OK, even though there’s been an error. I panicked.

    So I go and check and the domain is still available, meaning the registration didn’t went through. So I start the process — really worried, thinking I’d be charged again — and turns out I just needed to put my info in, correcting the Address 2 mistake, and the domain was immediately registered. I immediately check and the domain is not available anymore meaning everything went through successfuly, right? I was happy and relieved.

    I was wrong. A few hours later, I receive an e-mail from Fabiana from Customer Support letting me know there’s been an error. She tells me I started the Address 2 with a number so the domain was not registered. I just need to go back to the page, put my infos in and the domain will immediately be registered. The only problem: I had already done that and the domain had already been registered and was not available anymore. I tell her that and ask her when it’ll be available for me to access it.

    She ignores everything I just said and repeats everything she told me in the first e-mail: my domain has not been registered, I need to go back and put my info in. So I politely reply telling her my domains HAS been registered, I already did what she was telling me to do before WordPress even sent me the first e-mail and immediately after I did it, my domain was not available anymore meaning it has been registered successfuly. So considering I had done everything I could and been charged, I should be able to access it.

    That was on Sunday morning. I received no reply. No reply on Monday either, when I sent another e-mail. No reply on Tuesday either, when I set yet another e-mail. And now it’s Wednesday and ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. They haven’t replied to ANY of my e-mails, except the first one (basically ignoring everything I said. Great job you guys!).

    So currently the domain I registered is not available anymore (because I registered it. Through WordPress. Duh) and I’ve been charged for that domain. And I cannot access it. And WordPress customer service simply does not care, as if it’s not their issue. I sent 5 e-mails, explaining everything step-by-step (as if it was my fault and I should be the one giving explanations) and I’ve been completely ignored. Just to refresh everyone’s mind: I’ve been charged, I’ve registered the domain (meaning it’s not available anymore) and I cannot access it and WordPress claimed this never happened and the minute I tell them it did happen, Customer Service decides to completely ignore. Like WTF? What kind of terrible service is that?????

    Anyway, it’s been 5 days and I want a solution asap because this whole situation is ludicrous and completely absurd and distressing, especially because this domain is extremely important. The fact you guys screw me over and make me write this countless times before even replying anything useful to me is shocking and very appalling. Anyway, I hope I’ll finally receive a (non-condescending) reply from someone this time.

    It seems to be working. Thank you aurello. Although the whole experience left a sour taste in my mouth and made me regret even buying the domain from you guys. But at least it’s resolved now. Hope things will go smoothly from here.

    Never mind wordpress, you are the best always!!!

    And it is funny to read a well written text in English, by a Brazilian. I would write (not the content) but the style that I would use is the same.
    But I noticed americans never…write in that style…!
    I am not talking of the complaints, content itself…It is the style, the manner of organizing and “chaining” the ideas….somehow….it is portuguese. Hahah!
